Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car In Feltonville

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man is dead after being hit by a car while trying to cross the Roosevelt Boulevard in Feltonville Thursday night.

Philadelphia Police say this happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of the Boulevard and C Street.

According to witness accounts, a 22-year-old man driving a newer model Hyundai sedan appeared to have the right of way, but struck the pedestrian in the northbound lanes of the Boulevard.

The 22-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries about an hour later.

Police say the driver of the car did stay on scene.

Right now, no charges are being filed.
