Phillies Wrap Up Road Trip In Atlanta
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Phillies will look to wrap up their ten-game road trip on a high note tonight as they play the final game of their series with the Braves in Atlanta.
The Phils need a win tonight to break even for the trip. They are 4-5 after losing to the Braves last night, 5-1. The Phillies finished with just four hits, including a solo home run by Ryan Howard, and Jerad Eickhoff struggled on the mound (4 runs in 4 1/3 innings) as the Phils fell to 19-15 on the season.
Vince Velasquez gets the call on the mound tonight for the Phils. The right-hander is 4-1 with a 2.17 ERA. He got a no-decision in his last start against Miami, allowing four runs in six innings. Velasquez struggled early that night, allowing all four runs in the first two innings, but he found a groove after that. This will be his first career appearance against the Braves.
Atlanta will counter tonight with a right-hander named Aaron Blair. This will be the rookie's fourth start this season. He is 0-2 with a 3.31 ERA.
Here is the Phillies lineup tonight:
1. Odubel Herrera CF

3. Maikel Franco 3B
4. Ryan Howard 1B
