New Castle Karate Instructor Charged With Sexually Assaulting Children

NEW CASTLE, De (CBS) – New Castle County Police have charged a karate instructor with multiple counts of rape.

Authorities say they learned of 28-year-old Carlos Villa after a victim accused him of sexually touching her multiple times between December 2010 and March 2011.

During the course of the investigation, detectives say they learned of another incident involving a family member.

Authorities have only provided limited information in consideration of the victims. However, detectives are concerned there may be other victims, due to Villa's role as a karate instructor.

Villa has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust in the first degree, three counts of rape in the second degree and rape in the first degree.

He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $220,000 bail.
