Verizon promised to have the city wired by year seven of its 15-year agreement. That was February and Verizon says it’s done but, in keeping with that old saying, “Trust but verify,” the city has posted an online form for anyone who’s requested service since February and been told it’s not yet available.
Verizon spokesman John O’Malley Verizon says it only makes sense to make it as widely available as possible, though there are exceptions.
“Locations where we couldn’t get access to private property, where we couldn’t get access to multiple dwelling units or where we couldn’t get permits from the city due to a permitting backlog,” O’Malley said.
