CONSHOHOCKEN Pa. (CBS) — Pennsylvania State Police are looking into a road rage incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon on the Blue Route in West Conshohocken, Montgomery County.
Officers were sent to I-476 North at mile marker 16.1 responding to a shooting.

Police say that a driver fired at another car and fled the scene. Officials say the shot went through the passenger door of the other car.
Police say that shortly before 3:00 p.m., a man, driving a dark blue/midnight blue Lincoln Towncar (early 2000’s model) with tinted windows, fired at and hit a blue Mitsubishi Lancer traveling north on the Blue Route in West Conshocken. Officials add that the Lincoln symbol on the car was silver and had a red backdrop.
Authorities say the driver of the Lancer, a 26-year-old male, was the only person in the car at the time of the shooting and he was not injured.

Officials say the suspected weapon was a chrome semi-automatic handgun. They add that the vehicle has a possible unknown PA registration.
Police describe the suspect as a man between the ages of 40 and 50-years-old and wearing a dark-colored, flat-brim baseball cap.
Sources confirmed to Eyewitness News that this was indeed a road rage incident and that the bullet fired was lodged in the center console of the Lancer.
