Philadelphia Police Seek Three Men For The Assault Of Two School Officers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police need the public's help as they try to identify three men who they say assaulted a pair of school police officers on Monday afternoon.

Police say two school officers, at Northeast High School, observed a student being assaulted by two men. The officers were able to break up the assault.

Officials say an argument followed between the officers and the two men. At that point, one of the men began to push and shove the officers.

Police say one of the officers was thrown to the ground and another man punched the second officer.

Authorities say a third man showed up and and all three began to "pummel," the officers.

Philadelphia Police arrived on the scene and officials say the suspects fled going east on Cottman Avenue.

The police describe the first suspect as a black male, 5'8", 185 pounds with a muscular build and in his mid-20's. Police say he had dreadlocks and was wearing a black hoodie with gray sweat pants.

The second man is described as a black male, 5'10" with a muscular build and in his mid-20's. Police say he had black and blonde hair and was wearing a green muscle shirt and red sweat pants.

The third man is described as a black male, 6'0" with a thin muscular build. Police say he was wearing a gray hoodie and black pants.
