Teen Who Stole Car With Infant Inside In West Philly Turns Himself In

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 17-year-old boy has surrendered to Philadelphia police in connection with a car theft and kidnapping case from last month.

It happened on March 14th near 49th and Walnut Streets in West Philadelphia, just before 8 a.m.

Police say a man had parked his vehicle on Walnut Street with a four-month-old baby boy strapped in the back in a car seat.

The man left the engine running while he ran into a nearby store. When he came out, the car and the infant were gone.

The baby was found a short time later, unharmed, at Greene and Penn Streets.
