NJ Woman Killed By Overturned Tractor-Trailer On Pennsylvania Turnpike ID'd

BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) — A New Jersey woman who was killed when an tractor-trailer overturned onto her car along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks County has been identified.

It happened around 3 p.m. Monday in the eastbound lanes between the Willow Grove and Bensalem exits of the Turnpike.

Pennsylvania State Police say 18-year-old Kelly O'Brien of Moorestown was travelling in the left lane when her car and a tractor-trailer that was in the center lane made contact, sending both vehicles into an embankment. The truck rolled over onto the car, trapping O'Brien inside.

Crews had to use a crane to lift the tractor-trailer off the wreck. O'Brien was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver, identified as Matthew Bradley of Benton Harbor, Michigan, was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

All eastbound lanes reopened early Tuesday morning.

The crash remains under investigation.
