PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Vice President Joe Biden will speak at Community College of Philadelphia Monday afternoon, but not about what you might expect.

Biden’s visit comes the day before the Pennsylvania primary, but organizers say the vice president will be here in his official capacity, and not as a campaign surrogate.

He and Dr. Jill Biden are appearing in support of the Obama administration’s ongoing efforts to make college more affordable.

The event, held in the Great Hall of Community College’s Winnet Student Life Building on 17th Street, starts at 1:30 p.m., but because of security concerns, those who want to attend will need to be there by 11:30 a.m.

If you work in or expect to be visiting the area, you can expect some temporary street closures.
