4th Graders Rally Against Gun Violence In Hopes To Make A Difference

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Some elementary school students in West Philadelphia took a stand against gun violence on Thursday.

While they may be young, the 4th graders at Powell Elementary School, on North 36th street, wanted their voices to be heard.

The students banded together and marched against gun violence in Powelton Village and Mantua. The march began at their school and went up 35th street into Mantua and then back down 37th street returning them back to school.

The march lasted about one hour, and the group carried colorful signs they made themselves the entire way.

As they marched they lifted their voices and rallied in hopes that they too could make a difference in their community.
