Eagles Acquire Second Overall Pick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles have acquired the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft from the Cleveland Browns.

"By making the initial trade with Miami earlier this offseason and with this trade today with Cleveland, we feel that we have put ourselves in the best possible position to draft an impact player," Howie Roseman said via the Eagles' website. "We will now focus our energy on the next step."

Last week, the Rams traded up from No. 15 to get the first pick in the draft. Reports indicate the Rams are interested in QB Jared Goff, while the Eagles want North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz.

"I think the biggest misses at the quarterback position are often based on the intangibles," NFL Network's Mike Mayock said Wednesday on 94WIP of Wentz. "From my perspective, I think he's got all the tangibles you want. He's 6-5, 237, he's got a big arm, he's a great athlete. But I think it's the intangibles that push me even more with this kid. I'm all in on Carson Wentz."
