Christopher Tiesi, who plays Nemeino, previews the opera.

“It’s a beautiful story about a boy who is in love with a girl who doesn’t quite yet see it. She’s not completely into him yet. And a man comes to the town with, he sells the elixir of love and Nemerino decides this is my time to take this elixir and make her fall in love with me and hopefully something happens.”

Christopher also talks about the Aria Una Furtiva Lagrima.

“This Aria is special to the opera, I think it is the centerpiece of the opera, it’s by far the most played and heard Aria. Sometimes in the whole repertoire, it’s something that Luciano Pavaretti made very famous and it’s also the moment where the relationship between the two main characters kind of takes a big jump.”
