Report: '50-50' Chance Brett Brown Returns As 76ers' Coach
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Suddenly, the Philadelphia 76ers look a lot different. And major changes, reportedly, are going to continue.
According to Tom Moore of the Bucks Country Courier Times, a source gives head coach Brett Brow a "50-50" chance in returning next season. Associate head coach Mike D'Antoni, according to Moore, is expected to succeed Brown.
Clearly, the 76ers -- now former -- chairman Jerry Colangelo has made his imprint on the basketball team. Colangelo hired D'Antoni and then with general manager Sam Hinkie resigning last week, Bryan Colangelo -- Jerry's son -- was named as the new president of basketball operations.
Brown has three years left on his contract thanks to a two-year extension given to Brown last December, just days after Jerry Colangelo joined the franchise. Colangelo, per Moore, "didn't like it when he found out" about Brown's two-year extension upon joining the team.
Brown is 47-199 in three seasons with the Sixers.
