Car Crashes Into Restaurant In Chester

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- A driver avoided serious injury after crashing into a Chinese restaurant in Chester, Delaware County.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. Sunday along the 1900 West 9TH Street at Tilghman Street.

Police say a woman lost control of her car and struck a gas line, causing the vehicle to catch fire before slamming into the Chang Jiang restaurant.

The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The restaurant was open at the time of accident, but no one was injured.

The restaurant sustained some damage to the side and roof of the building.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
