Jay Wright At Parade: 'Today, Philadelphia Is A Part Of Nova Nation!'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's been one of the biggest debates in Philadelphia sports over the past few weeks. Is Villanova a Philadelphia basketball team?

During Friday's parade, head coach Jay Wright officially declared Philly as a part of Nova Nation.

"Philadelphia, we are a city of champions again!" Wright said. "I promise you this is just a warm up for the Phillies, the Flyers, the Sixers, and the Eagles. We're gonna do this again real soon, I promise. All the teams support us, we felt their love, and we want to thank them.

"We take great pride in representing the city of Philadelphia. Today, everybody in Philadelphia is a part of the Nova Nation."

Wright went on to introduce some of the players.

Wright introduced Kris Jenkins as the "man who hit the biggest shot in the history of college basketball." Jenkins also was showered with, "One more year!" chants from the crowd.

"Whenever you're teaching your kids to shoot, just tell 'em to one-two step and let it fly," Jenkins said.

Next up was Ryan Arcidiacono, who Wright called the, "Heart and soul of Philadelphia basketball."

Arch joked, "What, I can't get a 'one more year' chant?"

"We're going out as National Champions and thank you for everything," Arcidiacono said. "We love you guys."
