Phillies Fans Bring Positivity To Citizens Bank Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Phillies played their first game of 2016 in Philadelphia Friday night, taking on the Baltimore Orioles in a Spring Training game.

It wasn't a packed house, but the fans there to welcome the Phils home were an enthusiastic bunch, many feeling like the Phillies were going to be a little better than most people think:

"I think they may have at least a winning record this year."

"You know, I think it will be a long season, but they should improve maybe 8 to 10 more victories than the year before."

"I'm predicting 75, 80 games they're going to win. Got Maikel Franco at 3rd base, Howard bounce back year. So, I'm looking forward to it."

Franco is a player that a lot of fans pointed to as being the man to watch on the Phils' this season. Ryan Howard was a popular topic as well.

Howard got some boos during introductions, but some fans think that will change as the season gets going:

"I think Ryan Howard is going to have a comeback season, I really do. I'm confident, you know. I think he's going to come back and we're going to see shades of his old self."

Some fans also admit they are still getting over some of the players like Chase Utley who are no longer here.
