Eagles Expected To Workout Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Lincoln Financial Field is just 197.1 miles away from Beaver Stadium, for the record.

The Eagles are reportedly expected to work out Penn State's all-time passing leading quarterback Christian Hackenberg next week.

The Eagles, have also reportedly worked out QB's Jared Goff, Kevin Hogan, Carson Wentz, and on Thursday, Paxton Lynch.

Christian Hackenberg is the only 8,000 yard passer in Penn State history. But after a tumultuous four-year career with the Nittany Lions, one which endured a coaching switch of Bill O'Brien to James Franklin, Hackenberg is a polarizing NFL prospect.

The projected mid-round selection -- according to Robert Klemko of MMQB -- controversially shifted blame to Franklin for his sophomore and junior decline.

The 6,4", 230-pound signal caller completed just 53.5-percent of his passes in 2015. In fact, during his three-year Penn State career, Hack has never completed more than 58.9-percent of his passes.

Hackenberg is reportedly expected to workout for the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.
