Don't Use Your Phone As A Phone? There's A Mobile Service For You

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Who uses a phone as a phone anymore? That's the pitch one new mobile company is making to prospective customers who just don't like to gab.

You won't be able to make traditional phone calls or send text messages with Charge Mobile Data.

But it can be used for the newer ways some like to communicate, including FaceTime, Skype, and other video and audio chatting programs; messaging apps like iMessage and WhatsApp; and social media.

Charge prices gigs of data at $15 each, with savings when you buy 3 GB or more at a time. There's no contract, no monthly fee, and data never expires.

It works with a number of Apple and Google Nexus devices, as well as any phone or tablet compatible with Sprint's LTE network.
