Allentown Man Charged For Death Of Woman Found Dead In Recycling Bin

ALLENTOWN, P.A., (CBS) -- The Lehigh County District Attorney's Office has announced a charge against a 62-year-old man in connection to the death of a woman found dead in a recycling bin on Valentine's Day.

Walter Bratvold, of Allentown, has been charged with one count of homicide and one count of abuse of a corpse.

According to authorities, Bratvold and the victim, Rose Sieniawski, 59, had been in a relationship.

Bratvold was charged in February of attempted homicide and 10 counts of aggravated assault for shooting and injuring an Allentown detective who was investigating Sieniawski's death.

An autopsy on Sieniawski's body determined that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim ruled the death a homicide.
