Police: 23-Year-Old Shot Five Times While Attempting To Rob Someone

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police responded to a shooting that took place at Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue on Friday night that left a man hospitalized.

Police say the man was shot five times, three times in the right leg and twice in the left, during an attempted robbery. The man who was shot, 23, was taken to Temple University Hospital and listed in stable condition.

Authorities say the incident took place at 5:35 p.m. Police add that it took place during an attempted robbery and the person that was shot is allegedly the robber.

Police say the 23-year-old was shot by a man while attempting to rob him.
