Injured Officer's Attorney Speaks Out About Bar Brawl Allegedly Involving LeSean McCoy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As of Wednesday, it's been more than 17 days since LeSean McCoy allegedly assaulted two off-duty Philadelphia Police officers. The fight took place early on Super Bowl Sunday at the Recess Lounge in Olde City.

Police reports state the current Bills running back, and former Eagle, stomped, punched and kicked the two police officers in a brawl over who owned a bottle of champagne.

Over the past two weeks, we've seen pictures of one of the injured officers, we've seen McCoy, his attorneys and Central Detectives leave a Center City meeting.

"He'd love to talk to you," McCoy's attorney said as he left the meeting with detectives on Tuesday. "But, I'm not letting him talk to you."

With that said, we've heard very little from the NFL star himself.

Now, we are hearing from the attorney of one of the injured officers, Officer Darnell Jessie. The officer suffered facial bone fractures and other head injuries during the brawl.

"We've consistently said all along that we're very confident that the conclusion of this investigation, the D.A.'s office will charge whoever is responsible for this vicious beating with the appropriate crimes," said Jessie's attorney, Fortunato Perri Jr.

"The injuries sustained by both men that night, in the club, as a result of this assault are serious, potentially permanent, injuries as with result of this assault."

Perri Jr. says he is not worries about the private meeting that took place on Tuesday between McCoy, his attorneys, prosecutors and police.

"We're not concerned at all about something like that occurring," he explained. "We're confident that at the end of the day, the evidence will show these two police officers are victims of a vicious assault at that nightclub that night."

Eyewitness News reached out to both of McCoy's attorney's on Wednesday for comment, but calls were not returned.
