PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Strong winds took down a Burger King sign on Rising Sun Avenue in the city’s Lawncrest section on Wednesday night.

At the time of the fall, patrons were inside the establishment, eating.

“I was actually on lunch and the guys were in the back,” said employee Jonathan Rodriguez. “When it came down, all we heard was it hit hard.”

Rodriguez and members of his team ran outside to inspect the damage. “It is crazy because I expected it to go through the roof,” Rodriguez said. “There were people sitting under there, but actually it held on and people were safe.”
