PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A photograph of a Reddit user’s grandfather from 1950 has officially gone viral.

The picture captioned, “My grandfather in 1950 before deploying to Korea,” has been viewed over 3 million times.

While this was not the response Derek Schwendeman, of Newark, Delaware, was expecting when he posted the photo, commenters did not hold back when it came to their thoughts on the “hot grandfather.”

One user posted, “Any of your grandpa without a shirt? I need it for reasons.”

Another wrote, “Does he have any grandchildren? You know, male grandchildren? Asking for a friend…”

One user went so far as to say, “I volunteer to be your grandma!!”
