"She is the one, I want this cat," Monica cheerfully said. Mareksa treated herself, "my Valentine's Day present to me,"  she said.

Janelle also took home a new friend, a furry orange tabby cat.

"This the my Valentine's Day gift," Janelle said. "(I) got something cute and cuddly to take home."

Janelle says she has many new warm and fun toys awaiting her new friend at home.

"He gets to come home to a warm home, and have everything there, toys to play with," Janelle said.

Angela Schmitt with the SPCA says they are always looking for ways to clear the cages, so they can bring in more animals.

"All of our adult dogs that have to go home with adults or that have special behavior issue," she said. Those will $14 until the 21st, we are actually trying to get them good homes, they are great dogs."
