New Survey Shows Hiring Surge Expected In Bucks County

BUCKS COUNTY  (CBS) -- A survey from a Bucks County employment service finds employers in the area expect a hiring increase this year.

Recruitmentqueen.com founder and CEO Jennifer Schultz says their survey found 95-percent of hiring managers in Bucks County say they expect to hire new employees in 2016, two-thirds say they expect a hiring increase over 2015, and, she says, 16-percent of respondents say they plan to hire 350 or more new employees.

"One organization looking at hiring 350 is a lot, but it was multiple organizations," Schultz says. "So I thought that was great for the job market."

Those job opportunities, she says, tend to be in nursing, healthcare, automotive, financial, sales, or education which can present difficulties to employers.

"They're challenged with dealing with the lack of qualified talent in the job market that possess the right skills to actually fulfill the position," she said.

And Schultz says, employers express concerns of hanging on to those qualified workers once they find them in a more-competitive job market.
