Police Investigate Man's Death In New Castle, Del.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) -- Police are investigating the death of a man they say was found inside of a residence in the community of Mallard Pointe in New Castle, Delaware.

Police say detectives have identified the victim as 47-year-old Shawn Spence, of New Castle.

The manner of death has been ruled a homicide by the Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security, Division of Forensic Science, according to police.

Police say they are looking for a person of interest, 52-year-old Gregory Parker.  Police say he is described as a bald African American male, with brown eyes, 6'08" tall and approximately 225 pounds.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.

Police say anyone with information should call the New Castle County Police Department at (302) 395-8110/573-2800 or can visit our website at www.nccpd.com.  Police say any resident in the area with video surveillance is asked to contact NCCPD to see if any pertinent information was captured.

Police say tipsters may also call Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or visit on Facebook at New Castle County Police Department.  Citizens who currently have the smartphone application are encouraged to use the "submit tip" tab to submit tips.  Select a topic by using the "drop down" and complete the tip by "clicking" submit.  The New Castle County Police Smartphone Application is free to download and available for all IPhone and Android smartphones.

Police say tipsters who call Delaware Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a reward.  The New Castle County Police have partnered with Delaware Crime Stoppers which offers rewards up to $10,000 for an arrest and/or conviction regarding any violent crime by calling 1(800) TIP-3333.
