Armed Robbery Attempt In Dover, Delaware

DELAWARE (CBS) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery attempt in Dover, Delaware.

Authorities say a 36-year-old male was in the parking lot of Home Depot when a black male approached pointing a handgun and demanding money. At this time, police say the victim attempted to get away. As the victim entered his vehicle, he was shot in the upper leg.

The victim transported himself to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.

Police say, the suspect is described as a black male, between 5'8"-5'10", skinny, and in his early to mid-30's, possibly driving a light-colored Ford Crown Victoria.
