PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating an attempted burglary in Pennypack Park.

On December 4 around 1:53 a.m., police responded to the 8000 block of Lexington Avenue.

Authorities say the homeowners, who are an elderly couple, said when they awoke they found their screens were cut and two windows were broken.

Upon reviewing surveillance video, the couple saw an unknown male throwing rocks at their windows in an attempt to gain entry to their home.

Police say when the suspect saw the surveillance camera, he took off.
