Blog: Burlington Co. Animal Shelter Waives Adoption Fees

By Jim Donovan

As part of its "Home for the Holidays" promotion, the Burlington County Animal Shelter is waiving all pet adoption fees through the month of December. With the shelter nearing capacity, staff and volunteers are working harder than ever to find homes for the animals.

"The staff and friends group of the County animal shelter play a key role in making this effort a success," says Freeholder Deputy Director Bruce Garganio, adding "They do a spectacular job caring for our sheltered animals and are as eager as I am to see them go home with a loving family."

The County Animal Shelter is located on Academy Drive off of Woodlane Road, behind the Burlington County Library in Westampton Township. Hours of operation are noon to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays; noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The shelter is closed on Sundays and holidays.
