2 Chain Restaurants Drop Soft Drinks From Kids' Menus

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two popular chain restaurants are removing soft drinks off the kids' menus.

Applebee's and IHOP say they will serve the drinks to children by request.

The move is the latest to trim back on soda consumption by children.

Many school districts have pulled soda machines from school cafeterias and menus.

The CDC reports childhood obesity has more than doubled in the last 30 years.
