Dozens Of Animals Adopted After Philly Shelter's Urgent Plea

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Delaware Valley has answered an urgent plea from a local animal shelter.

The Animal Care and Control Team in Philadelphia says nearly 50 animals have found new homes.

The shelter recently ran out of space, and turned to the public for help.

ACCT Philly says there have been 34 adoptions since then. Ten animals were also transferred to rescue area partners for adoption.

The shelter is offering free adoptions for all large-breed dogs.
