Poll: Majority Of NJ Voters Say Christie Should Drop Out Of Presidential Race

TRENTON, NJ (CBS) – A majority of voters in New Jersey want Governor Chris Christie to end his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.

Sixty-one percent of voters said the governor should drop out of the race.

Thirty-three percent said he should stay in.

When asked if campaigning has distracted Christie from his duties as governor, 63 percent of Garden State voters said yes.

Thirty-three percent said they do not think it is distracting him.
