Preview: New Jersey's Local Elections

By David Madden

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  While New Jersey does not offer any statewide races of note, lots of local decisions will be made by voters today.

No one expects political control to change in the state assembly, where all 80 seats are up for election.

While no one expects Democrats to lose control, a couple of races down the shore have drawn a lot of attention, and negative advertising.

Closer to home, there are races for freeholder in Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties.

There are also contests for several local positions, most notably mayors in Cherry Hill, Burlington City and Palmyra, as well as seats on a number of school boards.

There are no statewide ballot questions this year.
