AAA Mid-Atlantic: New Jersey Gas Prices Down Slightly

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Motorists are seeing slightly lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $1.93, down 2 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.84.

This marks the second straight week that pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.

The national average price on Friday was $2.18, down 4 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.01.

Analysts say pump prices will likely hold steady or fall in the coming weeks, as crude oil prices are falling and demand for gasoline is decreasing.
