Temple Gets Fired Up With Pep Rally Before Facing Notre Dame

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Students, faculty, employees and assorted other owl football fans rallied on the university's North Philadelphia campus Friday afternoon to show their support ahead of Saturday's game against Notre Dame.
The atmosphere was electric on the Temple University campus as dozens of students gathered at the Bell Tower for a pep rally featuring appearances by the Temple marching band, the Temple cheerleaders, and of course Hooter the owl, who danced and posed for selfies with students.
With one of the biggest games in school history on tap, students like Senior Lyndsey were ecstatic for whatever lies ahead.
"No matter what we have nothing to lose, we've come so far, we've made history, we're on a national scale, everyone's watching us," says Lyndsey, "and so I'm hoping for a close Temple victory but at the end of the day if we don't win I'm just happy we've gotten as far as we have."
Sophomore Jordan says the Owls set the tone for an incredible season with another big win a few weeks ago at Lincoln Financial Field
"First game, Penn State winning," says Jordan. "I think that kind of set us off for a great start for the rest of the season."
The students feel that Saturday night's game against Notre Dame has been the only thing people have been talking about all week-long and many think that Matt Rhule's team will find a way to stay undefeated at Lincoln Financial Field.
A feeling that most students and alums echoed as they anxiously await kick off between the 21st ranked Owls, and 9th ranked Notre Dame at Lincoln Financial Field.
However, they say win or lose their owl pride is at an all-time high
