Hear Philly: Local Community Members To Be Honored At Masquerade Event

PHILADEPHIA (CBS) - Outstanding men and women in the community will be honored November 4th in Philadelphia during JerseyMan and PhillyMan Magazine's event "Unmasking the Legacy."

Publisher Ken Dunek says you can come out to Union Trust at 7th and Chestnut to support these wonderful people:

"The magazine honors ten men and women of the month nominees, and we decided to hold our first annual party to recognize the involvement and community service of these ten individuals."

He says this event was created because of their desire to become more community-oriented:

"We thought that honoring ten individuals in the area would be the right thing to do. We do magazine events once a month normally, and we thought that this would be our grand celebration for the year."

Dunek says there will be a lot of interesting things going on at the event:

"We've got a diamond giveaway from Safian & Rudolph for everyone that enters. You're going to be able to win tickets to the Grateful Dead along with dinner, and that's going to be, with the masquerade theme, the best mask  that people come in to will be awarded that.

He says this is a business causal event that you don't want to miss:

"There's going to be several celebrities in attendance. There's going to be some very influential and powerful business people."

On top of that, food and an open bar are part of the package.

"Unmasking The Legacy" begins at 6 p.m., and once again, masks are encouraged.
