Eagles Fans Celebrate Win Over New York Giants

By Rahel Solomon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --The Philadelphia Eagles needed a big win and they got it over their arch rival.

Fans are flying high with the birds a top the NFC East.

Call it the Eagles effect.

"Once we have a win and we needed one, everyone is happy."

"I get the high fives, I get the go Eagles."

On the heels of Monday night's win against the New York Giants, fans Tuesday were in a remarkably good mood.

"People are much nicer, holding doors, being kind, it's very strange. I feel the same way though, when they lose I'm miserable," said Marty Glynn of Rittenhouse.

"Happiness in the office as opposed to everyone losing and everybody coming in upset," said Carolyn Folk of Mount Airy.

"Any city is nice after an Eagles win."

Known of course for being the City of Brotherly Love, let's admit it we can also be a little harsh, a little abrasive when we don't win.

"We're a city where we love winning. So if we losing then we're not with you, if we're winning, then we with you," said Malik Jones of North Philadelphia.

Over in Cherry Hill, fans are also flying high at A. Russell Knight Elementary.

"Everyone was talking about it."

"I was really excited that they beat the Giants. I was so happy!"

Another reason some fans were happy -- Dunkin Donuts offering free medium coffees with the mobile app. A spokesman tells CBS 3 normally tens of thousands take advantage of the deal.
