Phillies Outright Domonic Brown Off 40-Man Roster

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Outfielder Domonic Brown was outrighted off of the Phillies' 40-man roster on Monday, the team announced.

Brown, 28, has struggled hitting just .235 and .228 in the last two seasons, respectively. Brown, the once highly touted prospect, played just 63 games last season and can now become a free-agent.

Along with Brown, the Phillies also outrighted OF Brian Bogusevic, OF Kelly Dugan, and C Tommy Joseph.
