Weather: Remaining Seasonable, But Cold Is On The Way!

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A clear, crisp start to the day for much of the Delaware Valley. Skies will be mostly sunny on Thursday, with seasonable highs in the mid 60s.

Changes come in the way of much cooler weather this weekend. A weak front will swing though on Friday, bringing a some extra clouds and even a morning sprinkle. The bigger significance of the front is that it will usher in the coldest air of the season, just in time for the weekend.

While it will be dry and mainly sunny, highs Saturday and Sunday will run anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees below normal.

Lows Saturday and Sunday night will dip down into the 30s! A rude awakening in deed, so break out those blankets and maybe turn on the heat for the first time. Frost/freeze advisories will likely be issued in the coming days, so keep an eye out for that especially if you have outdoor plants or pets.
