By Suzanne Monaghan

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A prominent Philadelphia musician is in custody in Montgomery County and faces child sex charges.

Sixty-nine-year-old Charles Cohen is charged with several offenses including Criminal Attempt of Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse with a Child and Unlawful Contact with a Minor.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's office, Cohen arranged to meet and engage in sex acts with a 14-year-old boy he met on the internet. But that boy was really an undercover detective.

When Cohen showed up at the agreed upon meeting spot in Montgomery County, he was arrested and taken into custody.

Cohen is a jazz musician, primarily known for his work on the synthesizer.

According to his Twitter account, he was scheduled to perform in Amsterdam and Poland next week. Instead, he'll have his preliminary hearing on October 13.

Cohen is being held on $100,000 cash bail.
