Chip Kelly: Cody Parkey's Injury Not Serious

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Chip Kelly said Cody Parkey's injury, a new leg injury that occurred during pregame warmups on Sunday, is just "precautionary" and no roster move is imminent.

"It's a new injury in his leg," Kelly said on Monday. "[Parkey] said he felt a pain. He didn't get the kickoffs where we normally get the kickoffs and obviously he was consistent in the kicks that we asked him to do.

"Everything is precautionary."

FOXSports.com's Alex Marvez reported earlier on Monday that the Eagles will reportedly workout kickers.

Parkey, who battled through a groin injury this summer, has struggled early on in the season missing a potential 44-yard game winning field-goal in Week 1. On Sunday at the Jets, Parkey seemed to have difficulty during kickoffs, evident by a first quarter kickoff which bounced out of bounds at the two-yard line.

Only 21.5 percent (3-13) of Parkey's kickoffs have been touchbacks through three games, which ranks at the bottom of the NFL.
