Report: Kiko Alonso Could Miss 2-4 Weeks With ACL Sprain

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After missing all of last season with an ACL tear, hearing that Kiko Alonso was forced out of the Eagles loss to the Cowboys with a knee injury had all Eagles fans collectively gasp.

Alonso injured the same knee that suffered the tear during Sunday's game. Many feared the worst.

The linebacker underwent an MRI on Monday, but the team put out no official update on his status.

According to a report from Howard Eskin, Alonso may only miss a few weeks.

Alonso wasn't the only Eagles linebacker knocked out of the game. Mychal Kendricks also was taken out of the game after suffering a hamstring injury. Eskin reports that Kendricks could be back on the field against the Jets this upcoming Sunday.
