PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Opera Philadelphia presents La Traviata Friday, October 2nd, Sunday, October 4th, Wednesday, October 7th, Friday, October 9th and Sunday, October 11th at the Academy of Music.

“Traviata is a very accessible sort of tale of complicated love, of difficult choices involving love or even to a certain extent your family members and how they might feel about your complicated love, from Alfredo’s perspective that is,” said Shrader.

“So my dad was an opera singer himself, Alfredo was one of his go-to roles that he enjoyed musically and that he performed often,” said Shrader.
