Globetrotters Showing Off New Uniforms With Style

By Pat Toddy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Harlem Globetrotters are celebrating 90 years of entertaining fans with basketball feats and buckets of confetti. All that work is now inspiring a new Globetrotters fashion line, and an upcoming debut at a world-famous fashion event.

The wizards of mind-blowing trick shots are working on a new move: the Catwalk Strut -- which they'll perform during their first appearance at New York's Fashion Week.

Brawley "Cheese" Chisholm, known for his high-wattage smile, is excited about the chance to rock the runway in new uniforms:

"It's showing another side of us and to be part of the Angela Simmons show should be a great experience."

Fashion designer Angela Williams, a huge Globetrotters fan since childhood, has designed a 90th anniversary line for the world-famous team. It features their signature red, white and blue palette, and is inspired by the team's legacy of creating thrilling memories for hundreds of millions of fans.

"When you leave our game or event, you will never forget that game for the rest of your life," she says. "That's what makes us so special."

Cheese is hoping to be making that same type of magic at the Kia Style360 Fashion Show Tuesday night. Fellow Globetrotters Smooth and Thunder will join him on the catwalk.

The new look will be part of their anniversary tour which hits Philadelphia March of next year.
