Fattah's Office Holds Lottery To See Pope Francis In Washington DC

WASHINGTON DC (CBS) – Congressman Chaka Fattah announced he has opened a lottery for tickets for those who want to watch the simulcast of Pope Francis' address to Congress from the West Lawn of the Capitol on Thursday, September 24.

Fattah says, "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear his Holiness Pope Francis address the United States Congress."

He adds, "I am extremely pleased that we are able to offer the constituents of my district the opportunity to join us in Washington to watch the Pope as he addresses the Joint Meeting on Capitol Hill. It is a special honor afforded to our district's residents that they will have opportunities to hear from the Pope both in our home town of Philadelphia and our nation's capital during his upcoming visit to the United States."

Fattah's office says tickets are limited to two per party and are for standing room admission.

Those who wish to participate in the lottery should visit fattah.house.gov/papal-visit-tickets and fill out the form by Friday, September 18.
