Positively Philadelphia: Greenfest Hits Headhouse Square In September

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Greenfest Philly is a day-long festival on September 13th at Headhouse Square in Philadelphia, and a lot is going on for kids and adults. There's a swap meet at the festival -- bring something, take something.
"Philly Swap, one of the greenest things you can do," says Katie Edwards from the Clean Air Council. And there's a lot to see.
"The kinetic sculpture bike is this old bicycle surrey that they connected over 100 umbrellas to," she says. "And when it's pedaled, they open and close in concert."
There's a lot to drink as well. "A Pop-up sustainable beer garden that is being run by Philadelphia Brewing Company, one of our favorite local, sustainable breweries, and Bridget Foy's," Edwards says.
And don't forget about the food!
"Oh, the edible bugs are one of the favorite things at Greenfest. There are crickets on crackers. They take the bugs and they turn them into flour," Edwards explains. "It's all being done by Addison Lilholt, who is an expert. He's authored books on it. He even does wine and beer pairing with bugs."
Can I have the wine and beer without the bugs?
The festival has a special kids' area with games and crafts, a relaxation area for the adults, (you might need it!) lots of shopping, important information and much more.
