Deputy Consul General Of Israel In Philadelphia Term Come To An End

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After 3 years, The Deputy Consul General of Israel in Philadelphia's term comes to an end.

As Deputy, Consul General Elad Strohmayer was responsible for diplomatic relations between Israel and Philadelphia.

"I look back and I think the relationship started very good, but now it is even better and even stronger," Strohmayer said.

While in Philadelphia, Strohmayer entrenched himself in the cities culture. He ran the Broad Street Run twice, and was even married by Mayor Nutter in City Hall.

"You have right now, an ambassador of Philadelphia in Israel," Strohmayer said. "I'm going to advocate for Philadelphia in Israel. Really this city resonated in me, and I hope that Israel resonated with you throughout my tenure here."

Mohan Bilman replaces Strohmayer as the Deputy Consul General of Israel in Philadelphia.
