PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The “under-construction” Fillmore Philadelphia is very much a work in progress at Frankford Avenue and Richmond Street in Fishtown, but that didn’t keep hundreds of job applicants from showing up at a 2-day job fair.

A small portable black tent, with “Fillmore Philly-dot-com”, on the edge stands outside the venue. Applicants hiked around back to sign in.

“We expect to hire over 200 people after all is said and done, bartenders, cocktail waitresses, managers, security. production, some office administration.” says Grozier. “So a lot of jobs, a lot of good jobs.”

Among those lined up outside: John Puleio of Atlantic City.

“I’m looking for a bartending job, it’s ideal.” says Puleio. “I’ve been bar-backing for about 4 years and I kind of dabble in bartending there, and I’ve bartendered some parties and stuff, so I have a little bit of experience so hoping to get a bartending job here.”
