LATROBE, Pa. (CBS) — Just in time for football season, a new beer will salute former Penn State coach Joe Paterno.

‘Duquesne Lager’s Paterno Legacy Series’ rolls off the production line today in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

The cans spotlight Paterno’s restored record of 409 wins.

Paterno’s wife, Sue, supports the tribute and his son Joe says it is an honor.

“It’s something that will be fun to be involved in,” he says.

Paterno was fired in in the Sandusky sex abuse scandal, but the NCAA has restored his victory total and reduced or eliminated sanctions.

A percentage of the proceeds goes to the Paterno family foundation.
