Cops: Men Headed To Phish Concert Found With 12 Tanks Of Nitrous Oxide

MARLTON, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say two New York men headed to a Phish concert with 12 tanks of nitrous oxide were arrested after they were caught trying to steal a GoPro camera from a Wal-Mart.

Evesham police Lt. Joseph Friel said that 30-year-old Christopher Zampino and 49-year-old Kevin Smith were arrested on Wednesday outside of the store while they were headed to the concert in Philadelphia.

Friel says police found 12 tanks of the gas and thousands of party balloons. The gas is sold in balloons in concert parking lots to people who inhale it for a brief euphoric high.

Zampino was charged with third-degree heroin possession and both were charged with disorderly persons offenses for the nitrous tanks.

Both men were held at the Burlington County Jail on $5,000 bail and it wasn't immediately clear if they had attorneys.
